It’s been 30 years since three Minnesota credit unions joined together to form CU Companies to create economies of scale in providing superior mortgage products to their members. Since then, our ownership has grown to 60 Minnesota credit unions and we now partner with more than 300 financial institutions. Our solutions now span mortgage, title, realty, financial advisory, and commercial loan resources.
As our business has grown, though, the core of our culture hasn’t changed. We were formed by financial institutions to serve financial institutions. We continue to have that Be the Solution mindset; it runs throughout our entire organization.
Now, we honor our history by placing our core principle on center stage in our new name:
"Our new name reflects that our foundation remains the same while our business continues to expand and diversify," said CU Companies President/CEO Brad Crandall. "We are a financial services company that's dedicated to serving everyone well – be they owners, partners, or the consumers they serve."
Our continued focus on adding value as a partner comes through in our new tagline as well:

"The Servion tagline expresses our commitment to earning your loyalty by delivering personalized service and competitive financial products," Crandall said. "It isn't just a statement, it is our partnership formula. We will be accurate and timely, we will provide solutions, and we will contribute to the success of our partners."
Beginning on January 1, 2018, we will become The Servion Group.
Between now and January 1, each of our business units will communicate with our owners and partners on the legal and logistical changes connected with implementing our name. These will be sent as appropriate for each business unit and audience.
