CU Companies names new Mortgage Operations Director

New Brighton, Minn (December 28, 2016) – CU Companies has promoted Greg Schatzke to lead C.U. Mortgage Services, Inc., as Mortgage Operations Director. He will now oversee mortgage company staff at every step in the mortgage process – from loan originators through to processors, underwriters, closers, post-closers, and account managers.

Schatzke's primary objective is to develop and maintain high-quality loan production and excellent service to partners and borrowers. He will focus on developing CU Companies' talent pool to assure adequate bench strength. He also will work with CU Companies CEO Brad Crandall to develop challenging, meaningful, and measurable staff goals for mortgage staff.

"As a well-rounded professional who has a detailed knowledge of mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures, Greg is a great addition to the leadership team at CU Companies," said Crandall, who oversaw mortgage operations before Schatzke's promotion. Prior to his promotion, Schatzke worked as Home Buying Coordinator for CU Mortgage. He started at CU Companies as a Sales & Digital Marketing Coordinator in 2014. Having worked as a mortgage loan officer and consultant, a marketing project manager and digital strategist, Schatzke has extensive experience in the mortgage industry as well as in sales and marketing. He is currently mortgage licensed in 28 states.
